Welford for a week

After our little stay on the open cut, we went up the Welford Arm on the Men's Final day of Wimbledon. We just got back from the pub to turn on the radio for the winning set. Gripping! On the Monday, we moved over to a space made for us in the Marina and started to enjoy the leccy and the weather. Much laundry was done!

Elizabeth the the car collection this time, booking a country bus, sort of a bus version of a taxi. Fascinating. By car, the journey from Crick to Welford took, what, 20 minutes? By bus it was wait 45 minutes for the 'booked' service at Welford village, arrive in Market Harborough for coffee. Travel 35 minutes to Northampton on the next bus and have lunch. Travel 50 minutes to Crick for Reg. Country life!

Dinner on deck

In our little spot of heaven before we got to Welford and after Crick, we had our first dinner on deck. It was finally warm enough at dinnertime. My goodness, it is wonderful to be out!

Not in Welford! But not good signal...

We left Welford on the Saturday for such a lovely cruise and are now in Foxton preparing to leave on Saturday. We'll post day by day when on Wi-Fi to let you know how it all went!

Out in the middle of nowhere again

My goodness, it is lovely to come to a quiet space in the middle of the countryside. We set out late this morning and reversed to the maintenance point to water up and set aside waste. After that,we drenched the garden (the pot shrubs), cleaned the roof of sap and leaves then set off. Backwards again, we made it to the south entrance of Crick Marina, winded, travelled north properly, then went into the northern entrance of the Marina for deisel and gas. We finally got underway at 2 and moored up in this little spot of heaven at 3:30.
